Paint Decorated Dry Sink
This exceptional Central Pennsylvania pine dry sink with original paint decorated surface is one of the best we have ever owned. It exhibits square nailed construction with a canted, dovetailed well, over two dovetailed drawers, over two mortised and pinned doors. The top has a dry scrubbed surface that carries over to the front board of the well. The sides are paint decorated with the tree of life. Circa 1840-1860. Length - 41", Width - 19", Height 36".

Rare Southeastern PA butter box made of walnut. Dovetailed case with a two piece lid that is chamfered and exhibits a center stabilizing spline that is dovetailed into each lid section. The interior of the box contains five removable sections. The box retains it's original hand wrought handle. Dimensions - 19 x 18 x 6 inches.

Pennsylvania Federal cherry slantfront desk with a dovetailed case, four graduated drawers, a fitted interior and French feet. Drawers have line inlay around the perimeter in the form of a cartouche. The cartouche inlay is repeated on the desk lid along with a two-handled urn. Circa 1810. Refinished with replaced brasses. Height - 42", Width - 43", Depth - 21".

Eshelman Wooden Candlesticks
Pair of butternut or pine candlesticks made, decorated and signed by Pennsylvania artist Paul W. Eshelman. Eshleman was a 1st generation studio wood worker who sought to find artistic expression in simple, utilitarian wooden objects. His pieces are considered masterpieces of form and graceful execution. Several of his works are in the collection of the New York City Museum of Art & Design. Along with Wharton Esherick, Bob Stocksdale and James Pristini, Eshelman exhibited together at the 1858 World's fair In Brussels. Height - 7 1/2".

Medium size pine firkin in excellent condition with the best original red painted surface. Tongue and grooved staves with four horizontal lap joint wooden bands secured by brass tacks. Bentwood swing handle attached with wood pegs. There is a narrow 1/8" crack in the lid due to shrinkage. Height - 9". Top Width - 9", Bottom Width - 9 1/2".

Circa 1840 Berks County Pennsylvania paint decorated pine dovetailed blanket chest with rare six pointed star, sunburst and hearts paint decoration. Reddish-orange decoration on a yellow ochre ground with dark green on the lid molding and feet. Interior till is intact along with the original hinges. The grabber lock may have been replaced. Length - 49", Width - 23", Height - 24".

John Holloway Bird Tree
Rare cardinal tree made by John Holloway (1935-) of West Creek, NJ. John has been a noted and award winning decoy carver for over forty years. His bird trees are of a very limited output and made in the style of 19th century Pennsylvania carvers like Schtockschnitzer Simmons. There are five birds on a sassafrass branch mounted on a paint decorated plinth. This is the only cardinal tree John every made as it was a special request. Height - 18".

A. L. Jewell Running Horse Weathervane
Signed A. L. Jewell Waltham, Mass running horse weathervane with fantastic form and an original verdigris surface. Full body copper with a zinc head. The Jewell company existed from the early 1850's until 1867 so this piece dates to that period. This wonderful horse would be a great addition to any weathervane and/or Americana collection.
