Pennsylvania Walnut Box
Southeastern Pennsylvania walnut slide lid candle or document box with desirable dry attic surface. Rectangular dovetailed case with original lock and escutcheon over a molded base. Gradually chamfered lid with three small finger catches. It is important to note the molding on the lid is carved in relief from a single piece of walnut and is not applied. Circa 1790-1810. Dimensions - 9 1/2 x 8 x 6 inches.

Blue Painted Firkin
Huge firkin with 75-100 year old blue paint over the original blue painted surface. Circa 1860. Made with tongue and grooved staves, finger-lapped bands, copper tacks, wooden pegs and a bentwood handle secured with mushroom wooden buttons. This piece would be perfect for the bottom of a stack of firkins. Bottom diameter - 15”. Lid diameter - 14 1/2”.
