Large firkin made by C. A. Wilder So. Hingham, MA with original dry, blue painted surface. Stamped on lid. Circa 1850. Made with tongue and groove staves, finger lapped bands, copper tacks, wooden pegs and a bentwood handle secured with mushroom buttons. Excellent original condition. Height - 12 1/2 inches. Lid - 12 1/2 inches in diameter.
