Large redware jar with fabulous polychrome glaze made by Arthur Ray Cole (1892-1974) in his Rainbow Pottery in Sanford, North Carolina. A. R. founded the Rainbow Pottery in 1941. This piece dates to the mid 1940's and has the signature Cole three twisted rope handles. This wonderful piece of North Carolina folk pottery is in excellent original condition with no repairs. Height - 18".
