Miniature Walnut Blanket Chest

Mid to late nineteenth century miniature or child's size walnut blanket chest exhibiting fine dovetailing, applied moldings and square nail construction. This nicely proportioned chest retains it's original till, turned feet and hardware to include hinges, lock, keeper and escutcheon. The surface was refinished approximately forty years ago. Length - 20", Depth - 9", Height - 12 1/2".


PA Red Cupboard

Pennsylvania cupboard with late 19th century red paint over original Spanish brown. Extended cornice over two paneled doors over excellent shaped skirt. Solid sides and original back boards. Made entirely of white pine. Mortise and tenon construction. Restoration to left rear foot. Circa 1820. Height- 66”, Width- 47”, Depth- 18”.


Berks County Federal Tall Chest

Circa 1800 Berks County, PA tall chest with old refinish and truly outstanding form. The piece exhibits a dovetailed case, a flat cove molded cornice, chamfered quarter columns, graduated overlapping drawers with thumbnail molding and 9 1/2" tall french feet. The figured walnut on the three over five drawer fronts demands your attention. Poplar secondary wood. Replaced brasses.
Height - 72", Width - 42", Depth 18 1/2".


Paint Decorated Cupboard

Walnut storage cupboard with chrome yellow and white paint decoration. Two dovetailed drawers over two mortised and pinned drawers, resting on turned feet. Probably of Pennsylvania or Maryland origin. Circa 1880. Width - 48", Depth - 19", Height - 48" (57" to top of backsplash).


Windsor Arm Chair

Circa 1790 sack back Windsor armchair with early red varnished surface. Excellent form with a nineteen inch wide, shaped saddle seat and bold turnings on the H stretcher and legs. There is an old, late 19th century replacement of the left vasiform arm support. Height - 39 inches, Seat Height - 17 3/4 inches.


Paint Decorated Blanket Chest

Circa 1840 Berks County Pennsylvania paint decorated pine dovetailed blanket chest with rare six pointed star, sunburst and hearts paint decoration. Reddish-orange decoration on a yellow ochre ground with dark green on the lid molding and feet. Interior till is intact along with the original hinges. The grabber lock may have been replaced. Length - 49", Width - 23", Height - 24".



Rupp Paint Decorated Chest

Pine chest of drawers attributed to John Rupp of Hanover, PA. Vibrant original black and reddish-brown faux birdseye maple paint decoration with Rupp's signature white porcelain drawer pulls. I have seen many faux mahogany decorated pieces by Rupp but this is only the second faux birdseye maple piece I have ever seen. The painted surface is in excellent condition showing only very minor as expected wear. Circa 1880. Height - 49", Width - 41", Depth - 22".


Decorated Milk Cupboard

Pennsylvania or Maryland poplar milk cupboard with a vibrant, late 19th century grain painted surface. Single dovetailed drawer with original pulls over a single door that is chamfered, mortised and pinned. Desirable size at 47" tall, 32" wide and 19" deep.


Hepplewhite Walnut Stand

Hepplewhite walnut splay-legged one drawer stand. The single board top has a perimeter molding which creates a dish top. The drawer is dovetailed and retains it's original wooden knob. The table retains a nice patina even with the later refinish. Height - 30", Top - 24" x 21".


Chester County Walnut Worktable

Chester County, Pennsylvania walnut work table with splayed legs, a single dovetailed drawer and a desirable overhang. Original dry grunge finish. Circa 1850.

Cherry & Maple Candlestand

Probably New England - Circa 1820. Rectangular top with scalloped corners on a ring turned vasiform pedestal on a gracefully formed tripod base. Old refinish.
