Jacob Medinger Redware Charger

Excellent large redware charger made by Jacob Medinger (1856-1932) of Neiffer, Montgomery County, Pa. While the charger is not signed, there is no doubt with respect to the Medinger attribution. It is boldly decorated with ten tulips, a trailing vine around the perimeter and manganese and copper oxide slip on a cream ground. There are three minor flakes on the rim but is otherwise in mint condition. Diameter - 12 1/4 inches.
