Allentown PA Wiand Coverlet

Beautiful four color coverlet made by C. Wiand of Allentown, PA dated 1843. This textile is in excellent original condition with no repairs and all it's fringe intact. The tree and flower decoration around the perimeter makes for a wonderful presentation and is not often seen in Wiand coverlets. Size - 72" x 90".

Burlington County NJ Sampler - Sarah French

Wool on linen sampler made by Sarah French in 1787 which is the year she died. Sarah was born in 1765 in Evesham, Burlington County New Jersey; the ninth and last child of Charles French (1712-1785) and Ann Clement (1720-1778). This rare early New Jersey sampler is dated 1887, features a double alphabet, the names of the parents, Sarah's name and a reference to it being "made in my 13th yea (r is missing). It also features a wonderful band of hearts and hourglasses in blue, pink, red and white. The piece is presented in a early 19th century painted frame. Family history available with purchase. Size - 13 1/2" x 8".

Unsigned three color PA coverlet with peafowl and flower decoration. This textile is in excellent original condition with no repairs and all it's fringe intact. Size - 80" x 100".

Berks County Bi-Centennial Quilt

Appliqué quilt made in 1945 for the Reading, PA bi-centennial celebration. Trailing vine and bellflower border with distilfinks, potted flowers and hearts on the primary field. The colors on this piece are extremely crisp and the stitching is excellent. The field is stain-free with only minor staining on the reverse edges in four spots. 100" x 96".

Shirred Wool Rug

19th century shirred wool rug on burlap backing. Crisp red flowers and green leafs surrounded by blue border on a variegated ground. Professionally mounted to hang vertically or horizontally. 71" X 39".

Early 20th Century Hooked Rug

Large vibrant wool hooked rug with concentric tulips surrounded by a variegated border. The colors of burgundy, violet, eggplant, green, caramel, red, orange and light blue are very crisp. Circa 1910. Professionally stretched and mounted to hang vertically or horizontally.

Wonderful wool hooked rug of two puppies with red bowties playing with a ball. The colors of navy blue, light blue, gray, red and white are very crisp. Circa 1920. Professionally stretched and mounted.
